    Faculty & Curriculum Guide

    An Exciting and Engaging Curriculum

The Cheshunt School curriculum is designed to inspire and challenge all learners and prepare them for the future. The school’s aim is to develop a coherent curriculum that builds on students’ experiences in the primary phase and that helps them to become successful lifelong learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens who are ready for an ever changing world.

Our curriculum will help young people to:

    • achieve high standards and make good progress.
    • enable those not achieving age-related expectations to narrow the gap and catch up with their peers.
    • have and be able to use high quality learning skills, developing them as independent learners, ready for the ever changing world of work.
    • have and be able to use high quality functional skills, including key literacy and numeracy skills.
    • be challenged and stretched to achieve to the best of their ability.
    • enjoy and be committed to learning to 19 and beyond.
    • value their learning outside of the curriculum and relate it to the taught curriculum.
    • gain as many experiences as possible from trips and visits, visiting guest speakers and opportunities for enrichment activities.

The tabs on the left will give you curriculum overviews for each subject. Further information can be obtained from the Head of Faculty.
